Do not send a girl to do a woman's job and do NOT give us an itsy-bitsy bottom when we are grown women. We are wahine, and we rely on this short to keep us comfortable and confident. When bikini bottoms are too little and boardshorts too much, we don the Wahine. Run short-inspired with drawstring and built-in brief. Fast-drying, abrasion-resistant, woven outer
Start with the good:• Fabric is luxurious. Smooth, soft. I purchased Lagoon, a gorgeous deep dark teal.• Inner liner fabric is black and very thin, which I consider a plus so it doesn’t feel so heavy as other layered shorts I’ve worn upon getting out of the water. The elastic doesn’t cut in to my skin as other brands do, making your backside show a weird panty line.• Stitching appears good. The bad (or needs improvement):• Two pockets— one on the right hip which is zippered and too small for a phone. Maybe a drivers license? Also feels unbalanced due to only one side. Second pocket is a slip pocket (no closure) along the top of the waistband. My phone can fit there if vertical and my tanking top can hold it in place, I THINK.So what caused me to hit Return is that lining was sewn in inside out. The Title Nine logo is printed the correct way but the seams are backwards. I considered that this might possibly be a comfort thing and done purposefully until I saw the part at the bottom (covering those lady bits) is also on the outside. Whoops.I’m undecided if I’ll buy a replacement. They’re a little shorter than I think I want and they’d probably be more comfortable if I was skinnier. ? (I Purchased XL. (These give me a muffin top by evening but decent morning/midday!) ? I’m a 14/16 with my pudge carried midsection). But the color matches my Lands End tankini in Deep Sea Navy Bright so perfect (and Lands End shorts don’t fit well).
