I ordered the 5x even though I’m a 2x, I did this because I wanted them longer and because I don’t like when a wet bathing suit sticks to my skin and it’s hard to remove or get back on if it’s wet.They fit good, they could be longer and I wish they were becuse while sitting they ride up my leg a bit and show what I’m trying to cover up.They can also be longer in the waist, they didn’t sit high enough for me, they came under my belly button, a 5x should go up higher because if I was actually a 5x then these would fit like a bikini and come up around my bikini line, so that’s something to take into account if you like your belly button covered and a higher coverage.I did pull them down a bit to cover my legs and it didn’t affect the length of the top part around my stomach, so the larger size did give me some wiggle room to adjust them.These are good, but to make them perfect they need to add 4 inches to the leg length and 5 inches to the height of the waist, then they would be perfect for plus sized women! The 5x fits me good with the lengths (good, not perfect) but I can’t imagine they would fit a person who is actually a 5x.I still gave 5 stars because they serve the purpose I bought them for, they are comfortable, easy to get on and off when wet or dry, and the side cut outs are sexy! The material is good quality and not too thin or thick, the waistband was thick and stays in place. The legs of the shorts stay in place and don’t ride up while in the pool. I was able to swim and enjoy poolside and feel comfortable sitting in wet shorts, they dried quickly and looked modest around friends and family.
